Dr. James is Founder and President of Just Kids Education Services, LLC a Family-Center Home base service working with families. The company has grown over the last three years to expand services to the metropolitan area.  Dr. James is a strong advocate for children and their families and believes in a collaborative approach to solving problems that permits every child to be successful in school. She is known for being innovative in her approach to identifying services that meet the needs of children in a way that permits them to best utilize their strengths and abilities.
 
A graduate of Norfolk State University, Dr. James received her undergraduate degree in 1988 with certification in Early Childhood Education N-4. Dr. James began her education teaching career working for the Prince George’s County Public School System. Dr. James continued her professional career with The George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development as a Project Director of DC Teaching Fellows and Project ESEP which prepare teachers through alternative routes certification program in special education, adjunct professor in the Department of Teacher Preparation and Special Education and creator of social skill program for children with autism at UM Children Development Clinic. Over the course of her career, Dr. James received Master’s Degrees in Early Childhood Special Education with concentration on ADHD and Autism from The George Washington University. She received her Doctor of Education Degree in Special Education, in 2006, also from GWU.  Dr. James has also taught courses for GWU in the areas of Special Education and Curriculum (reading). Just Kids Education Services, LLC, has worked extensively to build one of the most successful company serving families and children.  The goal of the company is to ensure that all children receive the appropriate education services.
